I am going to be getting a Blackvue camera very soon so I won't have to lodge cameras under my headrests. The only time I run a camera is when I have no passengers in the vehicle and I am travelling on long distances, otherwise locally I don't usually drive with one in the car. Every time I have the camera running I never catch an idiot yet the days I don't have it on I'm always being tailgated, cut up, overtaken, pulled out infront of. Sometimes I take it with me in the Chrysler Voyager and film my journeys in that car aswell.

Brilliant move, I used to have a carputer with webcam and it is a fantastic way to evidence bad driving. This should be the way forward and I am looking at doing it again myself.

I have now installed two new dash cams in my Seat Leon facing front and rear running off the power auxes for when I'm not using the sat-nav. I have bought two higher spec SD memory cards for them so they can each run longer than an hour capturing the bad driving of motorists. I decided to install them following the terrifying incident that happened to me three years ago where a strange man (who knew I was on my own) started chasing me down an empty stretch of road with a company car and went to the police and told them a pack of lies and it ended up with me facing several charges of dangerous driving and other related offences for things I hadn't done. Like me, many other motorists have experienced drivers who have been the aggressors who pick on them for no reason at all then try to report them for offences that they havn't even committed and the Police will take them seriously.

So now if I get someone who decides to act stupid and dangerous out of road rage I will be taking the footage to the Police and showing them every bit of it. And perhaps they can answer to the book being thrown at them in court with the antics of their stupidity caught on cam.

Its a brilliant idea to have one installed and I would reccomend it to anyone. I think you should all have your own CCTV inside your cars like I've got. I know you feel you shouldn't have to have one but in this day in age its got to the point where its no longer an option and you need to protect yourselves and I believe this is the best way of doing it.
