Subaru Impreza, White driven by Male

Was driving along the M60 from the Trafford Centre towards Bolton, when I pass the M62/M60 junction a Mini Cooper is in the middle lane with no traffic around. Look in my mirror, see a car about 300 metres away so start to overtake. Before I know it, a Subaru Impreza is up my arse and flashing, the car must have been doing in excess of 120 miles per hour in order to behind me that quick (I'll admit I was probably doing 80mph).
I decide that since the car is really excessively speeding and is flashing at me angrily, I tap my brakes. Then to my horror, blue lights start flashing. It's a cop car!!! I pull over and get in the back of the car where the copper starts hurling abuse at me, asking me why I put my brakes on, I told him why (excess speed, up my arse, flashing). He then continue getting an ear bashing till I ask him "If you were going so fast, why didn't you have your blue lights on!!!"
I get no response and he proceeds to tell me he's letting me off. I wonder why? Is it because I'd contest the charge and get him in the shit, then it'd be no more playing Fast and Furious on the M60 for him. I respect the police, but as with everything in life, there's always those few that tarnish the rest. Since I was so wound up, I never got his badge number and I sooooo wish I had.

I’ve had an incident with the GMP before in their Imprezas. Drive around like maniacs without being on call for anything. Wouldn’t detail it on here though, you never know who’s watching! :-/

I think the site owner should have a section called ‘Police Watch’ or something or something similar. Then we could report their number plates in that section. Then hopefully someone in authority IS watching and will do something about it. I know a copper and he even boasts about how he can fly past speed cameras, drink drive and never get caught. It seems some members of society really are above the law.

BTW, please do keep break testing people, it helps everyone else learn to keep well away from a road captain like you. Also, coppers undercover can drive at whatever speed they like legally, have you ever considered that an undercover copper needs to attend something quickly and quietly? Hi Noo_Noo, it’s Road Captain Russell here, Just a couple of pointers for you. —-1) The cop car wasn’t an undercover, it was a blue and white but didn’t have any sign at the front of the vehicle. —-2) If the vehicle was “undercover” the vehicle still needs to use its blue lights if the driver wishes to break any rules of the highway code, they do have the option not to do this if they feel it may compromise objective i.e. following. Have a little look on the BBC News website to find a number of stories where policemen have been fined/banned because of abusing this law. —3) I “tapped” the brakes, not slammed on it is not my objective to cause crashes and if you think that this is wrong, then you are more than entitled to your opinion —-4) What is your reasoning for such a retort on my initial reporting of this driver? What constitutes me to be a “xxxxx”? Do you know me? Ask yourself why you are on this site abusing other users? Are you angry? Are you not loved? From the looks of it, not many people find you amusing.
