Kia Rio, Blue driven by Female
Seen at 11:15am on 15-Apr-2011 on A2 Maidstone Kent
I had to undertake this person doing 70mph in the outside lane. I reported him to the Police who told me I was in the wrong because I shouldn't be exceeding the speed limit and that I risk being issued with a section 59!

I notice you say ‘driven by female’ and ‘I reported him’. Is it fair to say that the driver is a hermaphrodite then?

I once did an undertake on a car doing approx 70mph in the right hand lane of the M6 at 3am in the morning. Turned out it was the Police – 3 points and a fine later I know not to do that again.

You NEVER have to either undertake or overtake someone. Sounds to me like you were the one with Road Rage P.H.Moran.

a couple things to take into account:
-most people can control a car going 70 mph without much problem
-speed limits are made so that the dumbest driver can go that speed and still be perfectly fine
-i see housewives going almost that fast everyday in 40′s and 45′s-on the phone

tut tut: well done on seeing the error of your ways instead of blaming everyone else. Happy motoring.

Speed limit is 70. If someone is doing 70 then you shouldn’t be passing them and you were 100% in the wrong. SLOW DOWN!

@Paul: sometimes a safe and legal overtake is perfectly OK. That said, P.H.Moran is obviously a tool as he was unable to keep to the speed limit and of course you are right, you NEVER have to undertake. And yet he wants to blame others for his mistakes and bad driving? Oh well, maybe he will learn from this experience.
