Mercedes M Class, Silver driven by Unknown
Seen at 11:15 pm on 06-Apr-select on A3079 Castle Cross Devon
Came up behind this thing on the way home from work. It was doing 50 in a 60 zone and there was a black audi between me and this. As we were on a straight i changed down and got past the audi but as soon as i started passing this he accelerated and prevented me from overtaking forcing me to pull back. After we got through a complex of corners and crests and onto another straight (approx 1 mile long) i went to overtake again and once again he accelerated to try and prevent me. This time i persisted but he was determined that i was going to stay behind him. This time he accerated up to 80 in an effort to prevent me overtaking. Even with my new zetec s i wasn't prepared to risk my life in order to prove a point. So i backed off and he slowed down to 50 again. At this point the audi driver accelerated past me and the Mercedes once again accelerated when he got alongside him. However the audi (being more powerful than my fiesta eventually succeeded but he had accelerate to 90 (i stayed behind them and matched the mercedes speed) in order to get past him. Once he was past him the Mercedes blared his horn and flashd his lights at the audi and then slowed to 50 again but at this point i'd had enough of his games so turned off and took the back roads home. If you see this car steer well clear of it because the driver clearly has some issues if they cant stand being overtaken.

THIS IS FOR 22/02/12 PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO TELL ME WHAT YOU DID WITH THOSE EXTRA 5 SECONDS YOU SAVED BY OVERTAKING ME IN THE 40 MPH ZONE? DID YOU NOT SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE AHEAD? NO, THEN MAY I SUGGEST AN ADVANCE DRIVING COURSE, WHERE YOU WILL LEARN TO READ THE ROAD 500 YARDS AHEAD, RATHER THAN JUST THE NEXT CAR. YOU WILL ALSO LEARN HOW TO CONTROL YOUR VEHICLE, AS YOU CLEARLY HAVE NO CONTROL OF IT AT THE MOMENT, AS YOU ARE UNABLE TO ADHERE TO THE APPROPRIATE SPEED LIMITS, AND HAVING TO BREAK ON AN INCLINE, WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT THEN? YOU REALLY ARE ONE OF THE ROADS PRATS AREN'T YOU (NOTE THE TERM DRIVER OR DRIVING UNABLE TO BE USED HERE)!!

So i'm driving to work and i'm approaching a spot where there is a bend and the road narrows slightly doing the 60 limit. As i reach the bend this thing comes around the corner in the middle of the road causing me to swerve to avoid him. I catch a glimpse of the driver and i notice that he's yacking on his phone. He's lucky i was only in a small fiesta as had i been driving anything larger i would have hit either him or the hedge.

Vauxhall Corsa Van, White driven by Male
Seen at 04:15 pm on 01-Feb-select on A3079 Thorndon Cross Devon
My second bad driver of the day. I've encountered him several times on this road and everytime i see him he is going way too fast. In the past i have seen him overtake a line of about 4 cars (all doing more or less the 60 limit) only just making it before a blind bend. On another occasion he came racing up behind me and overtook me doing at least 90-100 (it was pretty fast because he was out of sight in a matter of seconds). Today i saw him over take a yellow VW Polo (reg HD05 MKE) right before a blind bend (he was very lucky there wasn't anything coming the other way because at the speeds he was doing someone would have been killed). I then catch up to him just past thorndon cross and he is right on the tail of a 58 plate for focus. This time he at least has the decency to wait for a straight bit of road before he goes past. However, once past the Focus he races off into the distance at high speed. If you're on this road watch out for this guy because he drives like a total lunatic.

Was behind this guy and a jcb going through okehampton. We stopped as the jcb wanted to turn right. As he did this guy accelerates hard up the road reaching 40 in a 30 zone. To make matters worse a short distance away there is a line of parked cars on our side of the road and a large number of oncoming cars coming the other way. Instead of stopping and waiting for the oncoming cars to pass he pulls out and charges straight at them. He only avoids hitting them because the oncoming cars swerve into the drainage to avoid him. Had they not done this then someone would have been hurt.

Seat Leon tdi, Black driven by Unknown
Seen at 03:30 pm on 27-Apr-select on A3072 Nr Holsworthy Devon
I'm Driving out of holsworthy coming out of a twisty section of the road with the said car behind me. Coming out of the twisty section and onto a straight about 1/2 mile long this guy decides to overtake me. I was doing the 60 limit and this guy was going faster than me but no more than 70ish. He completes the overtake and comes back onto the correct side of the road. He then catches up to a silver mercedes c class a short distance in front of me doing the limit. At thia point a black audi tt is coming in the other direction. Common sense would dictate that the Seat would wait behind the Merc for the audi to pass before overtaking, but instead the Seat overtakes before the audi has passed. I don't know how close the Seat came to the Audi but the Audi had to come to a near dead stop in order to avoid a collision. I hope the driver of this Seat enjoyed the 10 seconds he saved whilst making this dangerous overtake. If he keeps overtaking like that he may not have many more.

Seen at 03:30 pm on 14-May-select on Castle Road Okehampton Devon
Complete nutter in a Ford Ka. Came up behind it at the lights. As soon as i had put my handbrake on the driver starts revving the engine hard. As soon as the lights change to green the Karo sreeches off up the road that takes traffic out of Okehampton. As he was first at the lights the car does at least 40 in the 30 zone. He then guns it past a long line of parked cars forcing oncoming traffic to swerve out of his way. Once past the parked cars he proceeds to drive like Colin Mcrae along the twisty road leading out of Okehampton. To add to the danger the road has solid double white lines down the middle, just goes before i lose sight of the car i see him get both of his right wheels go over this line. He was travelling along the road way too fast and he must have been pushing the car to its limits for no apparent reason as he dissapeared out of sight very quickly. Maybe he saw my Zetec S and wanted to prove something? S100EAT what do you think he was up to?

Another moron of our roads, who's not a good enough driver to be able to adhere to the appropriate speed limits. how many signs stating 30 & 40 MPH do you need? How big do they need to be? Or is it just a blatant dis-regard for those speed limits & other road users like 80% of motorists? May I suggest an advance driving course, where you will learn to read the road 500 yards ahead, and be able to control your vehicle to the correct speed limits. so pray tell, what exactly did you do with those 12 seconds you saved in total by going past us in the 40 MPH zone?

Ford Mondeo LX, Black driven by Male
Seen at 03:00 pm on 18-May-select on A3079 Tanners Hill-Halwill Devon
My second idiot of the day (forgive me if this a bit long). So i'm sitting in a traffic queue on Tanners Hill (roadworks) and theres 2 big Arctics in front of me as well as a silver Zafira. Behind me there are countless cars and this Mondeo is about 7-8 cars behind me. We'd all been sitting there for approximatly 10 minutes while the workers moved some equipment around so naturally we were all a bit frustrated. So we get moving (fast forward about a few miles up the road) and onto a long(ish) straight with a crest on it. As i am approaching the end of the straight i see this thing come flying past several cars and pull in right behind me. He then sits as close to the back of my Fiesta as it is Physically possible to get (had i so much as looked at the brake pedal he would have hit me). About 3/4 of a mile later he comes racing past me and the Zafira right into the face of oncoming traffic. He then sits behind the Arctics as close as Physically possible, constantly weaving about looking for the slightest oppurtunity to overtake them. Thankfully, as there is a lot of oncoming traffic he does not get this chance and continues to sit on the Arctics tail right through Halwill (where i leave the action). To the driver, if you want to remove yourself from the gene pool that is fair but please find a way to do it without potentially taking someone else out. I know we were all a bit frustrated but even so, there is no need for that kind of driving. Idiot.

But this Boring Moronic Wanker oi how big do you need those speed signs, if you can't see them you shouldn't be behind the wheel (note the term driver or driving again not used here) It's a 30 MPH zone through 'Copplestone' twat of the road, and not 40 - 50 MPH, it didn't get you very far either did it twat of the road, you just caught the next tailback up (as is ALWAYS the case anyway, so why bother?) a lot quicker, you prat!!

The van has no drivers side wing mirror, the driver undertook me at speed and swerved into the gap in front of me causing me to brake excessively, he narrowly missed clipping my front wing and caused the cars behind me to have to brake suddenly as well. I then noticed that not only did he have no drivers side wing mirror, but his passenger window was completely covered up with a black bin liner which would impair his view the other side also.

I was driving along a narrow, single-track, twisty lane, when this car appeared behind. The idiot of a driver kept tail-gating me. Feeling intimidated by his dangerous driving tactics, I pulled over at a passing place. The obnoxious, arrogant git wound down his window and shouted a load of obscenities at me. He then raced at speed down the lane and drove into a flock of sheep instead of waiting at a passing place. Impatient, arrogant aggressive, ill-mannered gits like this with no roadsense for driving on country roads, with poor visibility and the possibility of livestock should be forced to retake their driving tests.

Volkswagen Polo Coupe, White driven by Male
Seen at 10:30 pm on 04-Nov-2001 on A3022; Seafront; A379 Paignton Devon
At night, I was driving steadily at just over 30mph (the speed limit) through a town. A car approached from behind at high speed then followed me for a mile, less than 1 metre behind my car. The driver then tried to overtake me using a lane marked 'right turn' but was blocked by another car and fell back behind, nearly hitting me as he cut in. Soon after, he overtook me doing at least 50mph on the WRONG side of a 'keep left' pedestrian refuge and disappeared into the distance (not indicating when turning at junctions, and with no working brake lights). A mile further and I passed the same car parked outside a chip shop. A moment later it rejoined the road 2 cars back, but without any lights on, then overtook the car behind me at high speed on the inside using a bus lane - still without any lights - finally crowding close behind me again for another mile before turning off (still with no lights, signals, or brake lights). The youth driving looked normal enough but could have caused at least 3 serious accidents by this extreme driving idiocy in just the few minutes that elapsed here. I would add that I did not react in any way to this aggressive driving - it was completely unprovoked - and if that is the driver's normal style then he needs to be removed from the road immediately.

Well here's Friday evening pleb of our road, the moment he came out of the side road in front of me, I knew he only knew where his accellerator was. A) No indication given to come out of the side road, he could be going right, or no he went left, oh joy I have to follow this pleb of the road now!! B) did you have loud music on in the vehicle? as it was dancin' all over the road C) had you of been observing the appropriate speed limits, you would not have needed to use your brakes so often, and never ever on an incline, that is a natural brake innit!! D) Our roads are not, I repeat, not, a F1 race course... E) There is more to driving than knowing where your accelerator is So here's another pleb in need of an advance driving course, you will learn how to read the road 500 yards ahead, & not just the next car, you will learn how to control your vehicle and how to become a good enough driver to be able to adhere to the roads appropriate speed limits, inmaterial of what make of vehicle you are behind the wheel of, or indeed it's colour. Go on become a betrter driver, become one of the 20% of motorists who know there is more to driving than knowing where your accelerator is!! I dare you!!

speeding, this motoring muppet came screaming up to my rear end in the 30 pmh zone, expecting me to what muppet? evaporate before your very eyes? move over for you? speed up so I'm also breaking the law? It was of course none of these!! So you decide to sit on my rear bumper the entire rest of the journey then you muppet. Did you have to be in work for 7.30 am then? May I suggest leaving earlier, not rocket science is it muppet? You are also in need of an advance driving course, where you will be taught to be in complete control of your vehicle, and be able to adhere to the appropriate speed limits, where you will be taught to read the road 500 yards ahead, and not just the next car.. go on book up now, you know it makes sence muppet :-)

Cut me up by ignoring the no entry sign to get into the disabled space I'd just vacated ( I'm a full time unpaid Carer to my disabled wife). Then in a very threatening manner proceeded to verbally abuse me for politely pointing to the no entry sign whilst in full view and hearing distance of his young kids. 3/01/12

I'm leaving the carpark of co op okehampton and this car is behind me. So i wait by the roundabout (its one of those that people tend to drive over)or 10 seconds to let the traffic clear. As i go around and start to turn at my exit i see something moving of my eye and i see this old moron in the astra has cut across the roundabout in an attempt to get in front of me. I stop and make eye contact with him and get his reg. Its a good job i stopped because if i hadn't he would've probably hit the side of my car.

Another of the 80% of prats behind the wheel on our roads, so how fast did you want to negotiate the 30 mph zone then? 40? if i had done 40 you would want to do 50!! How many signs do you need? How many are you going to kill before you slow down? Which member of your family do you want killed in the 30 MPH zone, before you slow down? This prat of our highway still wouldn't back off even after I flashed my ID badge to him in my rear view mirror, so his details passed to traffic!!

Minding my own business with my kids in car. Two lanes and as my lane narrowed slightly due to parked lorry this Pig pulled close beside me then him and his female friend laughed at my reaction (swerving to avoid collision). Further down the road he decided to cut in front of me and brake hard.Clearly he thought he was funny - he may not be so amused when the police come knocking.

There was particularly heavy traffic and this car kept weaving in and out of lanes and driving very close to the car in front. He then tried to get past a particualr car (even though the traffic in front was solid) and swerved onto the hardshoulder and aggressively overtook.

This impatient fool first of all overtook me as I complied with the speed limit (30) through a village, then he got stuck behind a lorry. I eventually caught up with him at the next village where he overtook the lorry on a somewhat blind bend and narrow road (also 30 limit).

Lorry driving too fast down a narrow country lane meets me driving the other way. Signals that he is turning onto a building site and pulls in leaving enough room for a mini to get past. Sadly I wasn't driving a mini so I start to reverse - slowly. I know he's not the only idiot to drive too fast in that lane, there's a slope, a bend a little way back and a ditch (obscured by vegetation) on one side of me. As I reverse he comes tearing along so that I fear I will be hit. As I reverse he follows, keeping within a short distance of my bumper - until I stop and shout at him that if he carries on I'll stop there all day. Fortunately he is able to reverse onto the building site shortly afterwards. An aggressive man who needs to learn that if you give someone room they reverse faster.
