This driver followed me for 1 and a half hours attempting to stop or ram me off the road. When I did finally stop (because he'd parked across the full country road ahead of me) he jumped out his car and ran full speed at mine. In this time I didnt know whether to run him over for my own safety or try and get away. In the end a handbrake turn and quick getaway worked. Police have done nothing and don't seem willing to co operate because they say its a normal road rage incident. Its ridiculous

Citroen Berlingo Van, White driven by Male
Seen at 08:30am on 03-May-2011 on A556 MERE Cheshire
I was driving my usual daily route to my office in Altrincham via the A556. Around 8.35 this morning. Ahead of me in the inside lane was a Globe Services van registration number BD59 HFT.
The vehicle travelling at an abnormally slow speed (around 30mph) for its positioning on the road and lack of traffic ahead, the speed limit here is 50mph.
My assumption was that the vehicle was intending to make a right turn at some stage. I quite safely changed lane and undertook the vehicle, which I reiterate was driving slowly and out of sync with the speed of surrounding traffic flow. As I drove past I even noted the driver was drinking from a bottle and seemed unaware that I had performed the maneuver, almost oblivious. Although the passenger was staring at me menacingly.
I then proceeded with my journey as usual and without any traffic in the lane ahead.
What took place next was of great concern to me.
Firstly the driver of the vehicle sped up.. to normal road speed which at that place on the road was 50mph, flashing his lights repeatedly behind me. I found this odd as he had previously been oblivious and driving considerably slower. It also took him some time to catch up to me as he was driving at well below the speed of the flow of traffic. As I then approached a set of traffic lights, around a mile further down the road, the driver literally pulled his moving vehicle level with mine and starting shouting at me out of the window.. his entire head and upper body were out of the window at this stage in moving traffic at a junction with a green traffic light.
As we progressed through the green light, He initially tried to ram my car sideways off the road my making aggressive turns into my lane while level with me.. while doing this he was yelling at me with some of the foulest language I have ever heard.. initially demanding that I put down my window, which I did, then demanding to know why I undertook his vehicle, referring to me as a C*NT, PRI*K, D*CK, T*SSER. W*NKER.. all this while hanging out of a moving vehicle down a fast moving duel carriageway. I apologised to him numerous times just to end the situation but he continued to drive dangerously close to my vehicle shouting obscenities and trying to swerve into me to take me off the road and into the central reservation. I advised him that I was travelling to work and did not want any trouble. He and the passenger became enraged. He then, while verbally abusing me demanded that I pull over so that he and his friend could “F*CK ME UP”.. he was insistent that I pull over so that he could smash my face in. I was unable to accelerate away as he would swerve his vehicle towards mine. I was unable to brake or stop my vehicle as he was insistent that he would “break my f**king legs” as he put it, around 8 threats of violence were made and a continuous barrage of abuse. I eventually put my window up after the onslaught of vulgarity and he then pulled his vehicle in front of mine and after braking hard in front of me several times continued to drive at 30mph down the 50mph dual carriageway. If I tried to change lane away from him he would swerve in front of me. As a result there was a fair traffic jam forming behind. The driver and passenger then continued to drive like this for at least another mile (seemingly laughing) until we approached a roundabout where I was able to continue my journey to work and he turned right onto the M56.
Anyway, I thought it serious enough for the police and have reported him.

Mr Skoda driver, single white lines also apply to you!
This idiot was driving along the A50 this morning, "straightening" bends by cutting across solid white lines.
The lines are there for a reason! What would you have done if there'd been a car coming the other way round the blind bend you straightend????
Of course, it's OK for you. You're old (so clearly an excellent driver) and drive a Fabia. But I bet you'd be outraged if it was a young fellow in a Porsche doing the same.

As a responsible, considerate driver I actually obey road traffic regulations, so when I entered a 30mph zone I slowed to 30mph. The idiot in this Volvo obviously has some sort of exemption from laws, and feels it necessary to tailgate, then, when the road entered a 60mph zone, out-drag me into a blind bend. Further up the road I saw him do the same to another law abiding driver in a Mondeo. Sorry pal, but speed limits are there to be obeyed by EVERYONE - even jerks in Volvos...

DRIVING TOO CLOSE
DRIVING DANGEROUSLY
"I DRIVE A LEXUS IS200 GET OUT OF MY WAY SYNDROME" - Does the I.S. stand for "I`m Stupid"...I think it must...
This "charming" lady driver was driving in agressive manner on the M53 heading south near the Eastham junction, where the road narrows from 3 lanes to 2.
She steamed up behind my vehicle and to my ashtonishment was attempting to overtake my vehicle as I indicated to move from lane 3 into lane 2 as the motorway narrowed - "what a crazy move I thought" !! especially as there was insufficient room between my vehicle and the car in front of me - It certainly wasn`t a safe manoeuvre by any means - and especially as the road was wet.
- This particular section of the M53 is a notorious section where the POLICE have attended many accidents in the recent past - purely because of idiot motorists who "cut in" from the outside lane when it is not safe to do so, causing others to brake sharpley. -
In my mirror pointed to my temple and signalled to her that I thought she was "El loco" - a crazy driver and she should think about how stupid she was.
She inevitably responded with a predictable and unimaginative gesture - Not very ladylike at all!!
The sheer audacity of her gesture baffled me totally.
I pulled over into lane 1 a little further along the motorway and as she passed she once again gestured towards me - this time she bizarrely flicked at her chin !!!!! She definately is crazy I thought or perhaps she just needed a shave or was she doing a Bruce Forsyth impression, I dont know ! Ha Ha!! She also wore glasses I noticed perhaps she needs her eyes testing..she was definately making a right spectacle of herself Ha Ha !!
I continued my journey along the M53 at a safe distance from the "Loopy Lexus Driver"
She however continued to drive too close to the cars in front of her along the M53 and also along the M56 for the next 20 miles or so.
She truly was a moronic dangerous driver and unfortunatly appears to fall into the "accident waiting to happen" category. Generally female drivers are regarded as safe drivers - however this woman is alas a danger to herself
and other motorists.
They say that Motorways are statistically the safest roads to drive on however they soon wont be if total imbeciles like this lady are left to continue with their poor driving ability- unless of course her next accident is her last!!!!

It's not often I feel the need to vent my spleen about other drivers. I very rarely get angry with another driver but the tt in a white Audi R8 I met this morning deserves a special mention.
7 am'ish on a nice sunny day the top is down hooning along a twisty A road. I come out of a sharp bend on to a long straight and see a line of oncoming traffic headed by a tractor. A BMW pulls out and overtakes the tractor. Not a problem as there is plenty of room and it's perfectly safe. 300 yards to the tractor and I see a white apparition suddenly appear on my side of the road from the middle of the queue Brake pedal to the floor time. So what does Mr R8 do? He dosen't brake and pull back in. He doesn't put pedal to the metal and try and make it. He brakes to halt on my side of the road
If you see a white R8 Cheshire today with a dent on the bonnet surrounded by a reddish orangey stain. You will know the driver is a tt. You see I was a bit angry to say the least and I vented my anger by launching an open can of Red Bull at his car. It was handy and it wasn't a long distance throw. A bit of an instinctive reaction and it would have been far better aimed at the drivers head rather than the car.

Polo driving in lane 1 of a dual carriageway at around 50 (far slower than the rest of the traffic around him). He then rapidly changes lanes, cutting me up, forcing me to brake hard, which in turn forces a ripple along the traffic behind me. He then picks up his mobile phone which I guess it was ringing while he swerved in front of me, and then proceeds to brake hard in front of me thinking I am just tail-gating him, forcing me to brake even harder!
He then approaches a roundabout, intending to turn right, but almost comes to a complete halt 50 yards+ before the roundabout so that he can finish his call before entering the roundabout!
After a couple of roundabouts he then indicates left while approaching the turning I was heading for, but then just moves over to the side of the road and stops quickly, forcing me to swerve around him again before taking my turning.
1) Why is this guy not capable of driving at the legal speed limit, or with the flow of traffic?
2) Why did he use a phone while driving?
3) Why was he unaware of the other road users around him?
4) Why will this guy be surprised when someone ends up ramming him into a large stationary object?
Answer: Because he's a frigging idiot!
If I had been a police officer in an unmarked car (which we have plenty of in our area) I would have had him for driving without due care!

A man in his 50s was driving on the left hand side of me,a bus stopped ahead of him to he cut into my lane without a signal to let me know he was doing this,I threw my left arm up in shock, like you do, he then persisted to stick his arm out of his window doing various abusive hand gestures, alittle more down the road he moved back over to the left lane, the lights changed to red so we were side by side, he got his phone out and started taking pictures of me, I wound my left wndow down and said "you didnt signal or anything" he wouldnt allow me to say anthing else, as he screamed in response "the lane was narrowing and you tried to cut me up" he drove off ahead of me, he ended up turning off at stepping hill hospital, I could see he had a passenger, but did not manage to see their face. Im so angry this type of abusive behaviour is allowed.

This person, (who I later found out at the trafic lights was a woman), decided to tailgate me on a freezing night on a notoriously dangerous road leading to two mills crossroad on the Wirral. Not content at following the speed limit of 50mps on this dangerous road, she was that close that I thought on several occasions that she was going to crash into the back of us.
In the light of the massive accident on the M5 I was shocked and surprised at this attitude!!
I was even MORE shocked at it being a woman driver! Anyhow, she then tries to cut in front on a dual carriageway, (I was in the slower, left lane and she was in the right faster lane), in and out of the left lane of traffic like a lunatic, trying to scare me or something haha! Had it been a male, we would have had words at the lights. I hope you dont crash into an innocent car and cause misery for anyone you vile person.

This woman was driving WAY too close and kept aggressively braking almost crashing into the back of my car at every opportunity. Stupid woman obviously thought that the traffic in front of me would have sped up had she kept nudging forward all the time. I kept to ALL the speed limits as the cars in front of me were doing, this woman needs a speed awareness course! Idiot!

Waiting at lights to turn green and this driver pulls up to the right of me so assumed he was turning right. Lights turn green i go ahead, he speeds next to me towards oncoming traffic, rears towards my car the swings infront of me. Beeped and flashed him, to which he slammed on causing me to slam on. He then speeds away at abit 65mph in a 40mph zone. To top that off the plate comes up as a corsa.

Driving so close to the car in front that you headlights aren't even visible isn't the smartest plan.
Next time you may find you do it to a drive who suddenly "sees a dog run out in front" of them...
Still, bet your mates were impressed with your immense driving talent. Knob.

Well this impatient female driver didn't like the idea of leaving a gap for on coming traffic. I waited for a van to come towards me because of double sided parked cars. This woman decided to overtake but then got stuck parallel to me. The van driver was no pleased by her actions. Then as we set off she ended up behind me. Then at the t-junction, I waited once again a few cars back because of double parked vehicles. She then decided to overtake me at this point and block the space in, so now on coming vehicles cannot get through. Then she proceeded to overtake them and cut her way through the traffic to turn right. I felt sorry for the young person in her passenger seat, let's hope they make it home alive for their sake.

This woman driver accused me of speeding up her road and one morning pulled across the path of my vehicle in an attempt to get me to collide with her, had I been speeding as alleged then I would of hit her. She needs to be watched, she must do this to all drivers on her road that she thinks are speeding, she was either drunk or mentally unstable.

The woman driving on a duel carriage was on her phone with one hand and with the other she was smoking. The most horrific part was she had a young child sat in the front also.
